There are a whole host of reasons why we think staying in a pub, trumps staying in a hotel. Whether it’s the warm welcome from Landlord & Landlady, Colum & Anne Marie, our cracking brekkie (we put on quite the spread), or having a beautifully buzzing pub at your fingertips.

You’ll get a relaxing night’s sleep in one of our 21 bedrooms, and if hunger strikes, raid your honesty bar and treat yourself to a tipple or some irresistible snacks. Want to make your stay extra special? Book our spacious Boutique bedrooms overlooking Carshalton Ponds.

We’re located a 2-minute drive from Carshalton train station, meaning you can reach London Victoria in 30-minutes if you want to explore the Big Smoke. Looking to get out of the city? Take in the stunning Surrey scenery at Box Hill and Epsom Downs. Once you’ve given your wellies a good work out, head back to our welcoming pub, find a cosy corner and sip a comforting pint before heading up and diving into our sleep-inducing beds.

Spend your next family getaway at our oh-so cosy pub & rooms in Carshalton. Whether you want to explore the stunning Surrey countryside, enjoy a thrilling day at Chessington World of Adventures, or venture into Central London; our homely pub & rooms is the ideal location.

After a day of adventuring, head to one of our uber-comfy bedrooms, and relax with a spot of room service via our On Tap app, or venture to the pub and enjoy a top-notch pub meal. With a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, our child friendly stays offer an additional bed for £15 per night for those aged 2-16 where available, with a complimentary stay for those under two.

Our dog-friendly bedrooms provide everything you need to keep tails wagging during your stay. Complete with their own comfy dog bed or blanket, a bowl for that all important post-walk bev, and plenty of tasty doggo treats.

With scenic walks at The Grove Park just a bone’s throw away, and beautiful Box Hill a 25-minute drive from our charming pub & rooms, there’s no need to leave your pub-loving pooch behind this holiday.

Up to two pooches can stay with you, where available, for an additional £15 per night per room.

How long should you stay in Carshalton?

We love our corner of Surrey and know you will too.

We think a 2-night is pretty perfect. Keeping your stay short and sweet? You’ll have a great time, but there’s just so much to see and do in and around Carshalton that you’ll wish you had an extra night with us.

What are the best things to do in Carshalton?

There’s so much to do and see in and around Carshalton.

We’re perched on the border of London and Surrey so you’ve got the best of both worlds. Surrounded by the Surrey Hills you can soak up the fresh air on a scenic hike at Box Hill, or keep it local with a wander along the Wandle Trail.

Honeywood Museum is on your doorstep and you’re not far from the likes of Morden Hall Park and Epsom Racecourse.

We love to share personal recommendations, so feel free to ask us when you’re here. We’re a friendly bunch.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm. If you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready, there’s plenty of space in our lovely pub to relax, have a bite to eat or a little tipple.

Arriving early and want to head out? No problem, we’ll hold on to your bags until you’re back.

Check-out is by 11am.

What time is breakfast?

Brekkie is served from 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends (we all deserve a little lie-in).

If your room rate doesn’t include breakfast but you can’t quite resist, fear not, walk-ins are very welcome.

Do you have any family-friendly bedrooms?

Our Comfy and Comfy Twin rooms are family-friendly. All have space for cots for little ones and fold-out beds for bigger little ones.

Some of our rooms can also adjoin to make super-spacious family rooms. If you’d like to bag these, pop a note in the “I have a comment” section in step 3 when booking direct, or give us a call.

Children under 2 stay for free. Children aged between 2-16 year’s old are are charged at £15 per night.

Can I bring my dog to stay?

Yes, we love furry four-legged friends.

Some of our Comfy and Comfy Twin rooms on the ground floor are dog-friendly.

Just add your dog to your booking (up to two doggos can stay with you for £15 per night), and we’ll make sure they get a VIP welcome with a super-comfy dog bed and tasty tail-wagging treats.

 

Getting Here

Do you have any parking?

We’ve got plenty of on-site parking which you can access from the main road (it’s just at the back behind our garden).

And just a head’s up that entry/exit is one-way.

How do I get to you via public transport?

We’re a 7-minute walk from Carshalton train station.

Travelling by tube? We’re a 14-minute taxi journey from Morden underground station (Northern Line). If you’re staying with us for a few days and have lots of luggage, you might find it easier to hop in a taxi. You can usually find cabs just outside the station and you’ll be with us in a jiffy.

We’re also on all main bus routes to and from Sutton and Croydon.

Stopping over before jetting off to sunnier climes? Gatwick airport is a 35-minute drive away, meaning you can get your holiday off to a leisurely start.

Booking Bits

Can I cancel my booking?

We understand that plans sometimes change, so we try to make our booking policies super flexible. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. If you cancel outside of this time or don’t show up, we’re sorry, but we’ll have to charge you for the first night of your stay. The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-refundable and non-amendable.

Can I make changes to my booking?

You can make changes to your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. This includes changes to your package, room and extras (as long as it’s available). The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-amendable.

Can I get a copy of my invoice?

Of course. When booking online, you have the option to send an invoice in step 2. Missed this step? Not to worry, just ask at Reception and the team will email you a copy. Checked out already? Pop us an email and we’ll send one right over.
